Sign in and account access

Use your organization's workspace address to sign in. This guide explains the password flow and the extra steps you may see when your account needs verification.

Access needed

Access depends on your assigned permissions and workflow scope.

Sign in, reset your password or complete verification

Use your own workspace account and the configured sign-in method. No business-module permission is required to begin sign-in. Password reset and verification still require the account’s valid recovery or verification proof.

Role and permission labels

Typical responsibility: Account holder. Role names alone do not grant access.

Change your own password or two-step verification

Use the authenticated or temporary-password flow offered to your own account. This guide does not grant access to administer other users or sign-in settings.

Demo screenshots may show broader access than your account.

  1. Check your workspace

Open the address your administrator supplied and check the workspace name. If it is wrong, select Find your workspace before continuing.

  2. Enter your account details

Enter your Email and Password, then select Sign in. Use the email associated with this workspace.

  3. Complete any additional steps

You may be asked to replace a temporary password or enter a verification code. Follow the relevant instructions below. After successful sign-in, FinTrax opens your permitted destination.

Sign in to your workspace
Check the workspace name before entering your email and password.

If your workspace offers organization sign-in, choose the method configured by your administrator and follow its prompts. Available methods depend on your workspace; an option shown in another organization's guide may not be enabled for you.

Find the right workspace

If you opened the wrong organization, select Find your workspace below the sign-in form. You can look up your workspace in two ways:

  1. Try your work email

Select Work email, enter your work email, then select Continue. This works when your organization has registered its email domain.

  2. Use the workspace identifier if needed

Select Workspace identifier, enter the identifier your administrator supplied, then select Continue. Use your own workspace identifier; the name shown in the screenshot is an example.

  3. Check the destination before signing in

Check the workspace name on the sign-in screen, then enter the account details for that workspace.

Use a workspace identifier
Use the identifier supplied by your organization when email lookup is unavailable.

Sign in on mobile

Open the same workspace address in your phone's browser. Enter your email and password and complete any verification steps. The sign-in form fits the smaller screen; the account requirements stay the same.

The same sign-in steps work on a smaller screen. Find your workspace remains below the form.

Replace a temporary password

A temporary password lets you start the first sign-in process. You must replace it before you can enter the workspace.

  1. Start with the temporary password

Enter your email and the temporary password supplied by your administrator, then select Sign in.

  2. Choose your new password

On Choose your new password, enter and confirm a different password. Use at least 12 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, a number, and a symbol. Follow any additional validation message shown on the form.

  3. Continue signing in

Submit the form and complete any verification prompt. If the password is rejected, correct the stated rule and try again.

If your administrator issues a replacement temporary password, use the newest one. Issuing a replacement signs the account out of its existing sessions.

Use an authenticator code

When asked, open the authenticator app linked to your FinTrax account and enter its current six-digit code. Submit once. If a code has expired or was already used, wait for a fresh code before trying again.

If you cannot access the authenticator, choose the recovery-code option and enter an unused saved recovery code. If neither is available, contact your administrator.

Set up two-step verification

Your workspace may require you to set up an authenticator before finishing sign-in.

  1. Add FinTrax to your authenticator

Scan the QR code displayed by FinTrax, or enter the provided setup key manually in your authenticator app.

  2. Confirm the setup

Enter the current six-digit code from the app. Setup expires after ten minutes; if it expires, restart the sign-in flow to get a fresh setup.

  3. Save your recovery codes

Store the recovery codes in a secure place you can access if you lose your device. Confirm you have saved them, then follow the prompt to continue signing in with a fresh authenticator code.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. Request a reset link

From the sign-in screen, select Forgot password?. Enter your account email and select Send reset link.

  2. Check your inbox

If an eligible account exists and email delivery is available, a reset link will be sent. Check spam or junk folders too. The confirmation message does not confirm that an account exists or that email was delivered.

  3. Choose a new password

Open the reset link and follow the password form. Then return to your workspace and sign in. If the link is invalid or expired, request a fresh link.

Request a password reset
Select Forgot password? and enter the email linked to your workspace to request a reset link.

If no message arrives, ask your administrator whether outgoing email is available. Avoid repeated requests while waiting.
